Stalls

Coggeshall Christmas 2024 will be held on Saturday 7th December and will be at the new time of 12-5pm.  Father Christmas will be in attendance to turn on the lights and there will also be Christmas music to get everyone in the festive spirit.

Following the success of last year’s increased market area, we are going to continue to have an increased road closure – this means the market will again include part of Market Hill, running from where it meets Market End up to Swan Yard. This is to ensure the safety of stallholders and visitors, as the roads will be fully closed meaning no cars will come close to passing any stalls. It also means we have a greater space in which to place stalls, so we can offer even more! 

If you would like a stall, fill out the application form here. Please note, until you have paid for the stall, it will not be secured.

Once you have sent in your application form, a member of our Committee will be in touch to confirm your details. Please bear with us on these as we do get a lot of applications and we are a small team of just a handful of volunteers. Sponsors

In order to run the event, we rely on the funding through stalls and also sponsors. We have kept stall costs the same for the past two years as we understand how hard it has been to keep running a business when so many costs are rising. However, we are also facing rising costs ourselves. Last year the road closure cost alone was doubled by Braintree District Council to £450. 

Given this, we have expanded our sponsorship to offer businesses a way to gain more exposure while helping us to boost our funds to ensure we can keep running the event each year.

• Full screen full colour advert on our screen at regular internals throughout the market, from 12pm to 5pm 
• Facebook post on our Coggeshall Christmas page thanking you for your support in the run up to the event
• Instagram post on @coggeshallessex account thanking you for your support in the run up to the event
• Your logo on a banner to be featured somewhere central in Coggeshall

We’ve also had help from a number of other local businesses to make the event happen. Without their help, it would be much more difficult or expensive to hold the market or to make it as successful as it is!
