The Coggeshall Scarecrow Trail is a fundraiser for St Peter’s Primary School and Pre-school and will be running from 29th May to 6th June 2021.
We would like this to be a fun activity for the whole community and whilst we already have a good number of Scarecrows registered for the trail, there is always room for more! All entrants have a chance to win a prize for ‘Funniest Scarecrow’ and ‘Most Creative Scarecrow’. Follow ‘CoggeshallScarecrowTrail’ on Facebook for more details.
There is lots of inspiration online about how to make and dress your scarecrow, but you can let your imagination go wild. You don’t have to stick to a traditional scarecrow – you could make up your own themes such as Disney, Superheroes, Evening Dress or whatever you like!
If you would like to register a Scarecrow for the trail, please email your name and address to [email protected] with SCARECROW in the heading before 14th May, and we’ll send you more details, including how to make a donation of £3. You will also receive a free trail map by email when they are ready.
And we of course want lots of people to follow the trail, so if you would like a map please email ‘[email protected]’ with MAP in the heading, and we’ll send you details on how to make a minimum donation of £2, then send you a map by email when they are ready.
During the trail week, the lovely people at ‘Bakes and Blooms’ have also agreed to sell maps from their shop.
We hope that lots of the community will take part to make this a fantastic event that will raise much-needed funds for the school and we look forward to meeting your Scarecrows!
